Virgo Full Moon – March 5, 2015

Virgo Full Moon – March 5, 2015
The Full Moon forms at 14 degrees, 50 minutes Virgo at 10:05 a.m. PST on March 5, 2015. The last four full moons have been at 14 degrees. They are also within one degree of last fall’s Total Lunar Eclipse of October 8 and the upcoming and final exact square of Uranus and Pluto in Aries and Capricorn on March 16-17, 2015. These are the final days of the intense Cardinal energies of 2008 -2015.
In view of this I’ll do something I don’t ordinarily do and post some dates and aspects.
March 3 Jupiter trine Uranus (15 Leo-Aries)
March 4 Venus conjunct Uranus and square Pluto (15 Aries-Capricorn) Venus trine Jupiter
March 5 Full Moon (15 Virgo) Mars conjunct S. Node (10 Aries)
March 7 Sun conjunct Chiron (17 Pisces)
March 11 Mars conjunct Uranus and square Pluto (15 Aries-Capricorn)
March 14 Saturn retrograde (5 Sagittarius)
March 16 Seventh and final Uranus-Pluto square – exact (15 Aries-Capricorn)
March 20 Total Solar Eclipse/Super Moon (29 Pisces) 2:36am PDT-Vernal Equinox 2:45pm PDT

So you can see that it’s an action-packed month.
And in the spirit of full disclosure: that ain’t the end of it! If you’ll remember, Eclipses come in pairs and we’ll be having a Lunar Eclipse on April 4. Some say partial – some say total. I am not an astronomer so I’m not coming down on either side of the question. From what I can gather; totality will last only 4 minutes 43 seconds. In other words, it will be a total eclipse for a very short period of time. You can Google all of that if you’re interested. And you can also check on the path of the eclipses and whether or not you’ll be able to see them. We have the best part of a month and a lot of stuff to get through before we begin dealing with eclipses.
Full Moon in Virgo. Let’s get back to that! Full moons are the great reveal – the denouement! This is where it all becomes clear – if you’re willing to look! Projects come to fruition. Journeys reach an end. This is the culmination of energies of the Uranus – Pluto squares. They formed a conjunction in the 1960’s in Virgo. Some of us remember that time. But I’m pretty sure all of us have heard about it. They are now heading toward the culmination of almost three years of exact square aspect. After March 16, the square will separate and begin to wane. They will not meet in hard aspect again until 2045 when they form an opposition in Virgo – Pisces.
So – what have you learned over the last three years? C’mon, tell the truth. Lying to yourself won’t help one single bit. No one likes to get down and dirty with facts and analysis like Virgo. Virgo strives to be effective, discerning and impeccable. This Full Moon activates the Virgo-Pisces axis which will be so important in the coming years. Virgo and planets in the 6th house signal the integration and engagement of the entire “personal” self – body, mind and spirit. This is the formulation of a stance that can be taken across the horizon of the chart. This is what you bring to interactions with others in relationship and community.
Pisces and the 12th house indicate the dissolution and release of the personal earthbound self – the return to source. This Full Moon readies us for the Solar Eclipse at 29 degrees 27 minutes Pisces – the last degree of the Zodiac. As we move through last degree of Pisces we witness the release and ultimate dissolution and reunification of opposites that is unequivocally Piscean. Here there is death, darkness, separation, unity, light, and ultimately rebirth. Thirteen hours later we reach 00 degrees Aries and the Vernal Equinox. We begin again. Resurrected in Aries and ready to round the wheel one more time.
It’s not always so obvious. Yes, every year we have our solstices and equinoxes. But we don’t always have killer eclipses and end-game scenarios. I guess you might wonder: “How ridiculous does it have to get?” Wellll…… pretty ridiculous, evidently! Between now and mid-April a massive transition is taking place. The eclipses close out a 19 year cycle. (Where were you in 1996 – ish? Hmmmm?) So there’s that. And the ending of the predominance of Cardinal energies with the final Uranus – Pluto square. And then there’s the ascendancy of Mutable energies that will require us to translate and disseminate our knowledge. Learning how to do that will be tricky for some.
Neptune and Chiron in Pisces and Saturn in Sagittarius present a whole new ballgame. The mutable signs are infinitely more subtle than the Cardinal and Fixed signs. Just wait – you’ll see… Meanwhile, this time will be very rough on those who have a strong preference for no change. There will be many occasions for misinterpretation, misrepresentation, delusional notions and behavior, and improbable situations of all sorts to suddenly arise and then dissipate just as quickly. This won’t be limited to those who won’t accept change but it will be extremely upsetting and unnerving for them in particular. In short – expect the unexpected.
Get ready for Saturn to retrograde and drift back to and through Scorpio. He’ll pop back into Sag in September. So yeah – get ready for one more round of that….
And the last exact square of You Know Who and He Who Must Not be Named.
And the Eclipses.
But after that things should quiet down.
So be ready. Take a deep breath. And don’t forget to keep breathing. You might want to walk around wearing your bike helmet for the next six weeks. Or at least keep it handy. Just a suggestion.
