Pisces New Moon – March 6, 2019
The New Moon forms at 15 degrees 46 minutes Pisces on March 6, at 8:03 am PST /4:03 pm GMT. The road as we have known it is at an end. Uranus entered Taurus today. Bye-Bye Aries – it’s time to settle in and stretch out. There’s still the massive pile-up in Pisces. Mercury was leading the way out of the fog… But Oops! He’s retrograde now at the very last minutes of Pisces. He will station direct on March 28 at 16 Pisces but will not return to 29 degrees Pisces until April 16. So – there’s that. Neptune at 16 Pisces is conjunct this dark, shy, and mysterious New Moon. Chiron is newly arrived in Aries at 00 degrees 54 minutes after spending most of the last 8 years in Pisces. His last journey through this sign took place 50 years ago in 1969. Quite a lot has changed since then. And quite a bit more will change during the upcoming years. We are witnessing the closing of an era and the beginning of a very new and untried way of being.
What do you want? What does your soul cry out for? Our physical lives are extremely chaotic right now. We want to push ahead but we fear that by doing so we might lose something in the Piscean fog – that we might become detached and irretrievably lost if we fail to follow the lifelines that have been laid out for us by our families, friends, schools, and governments. What would you do if you were doing it just for you? Yes, you! That you – the one that you were told to reign in, to harness and to put to “good use”. Right now we all know that we have to move forward in some major way, shape, or fashion – no matter how it may look to others, or feel to ourselves. It’s uncomfortable in the extreme. And it’s also incredibly unformed while at the same time being supremely urgent! Change is imminent. The big question is: How and When?
The Pisces New Moon suggest surrender. Surrender all the maniac mental gymnastics you’ve been putting yourself through since the January eclipses. It hasn’t really been helpful. It causes you to comb the microcosm for details that can’t ever add up to a fully formed plan. Bits and details get lost in the shuffle and frustration sets in and you beat yourself up for not remembering that super important piece of information that was going to make the entire plan a success. Nope, that’s not going to do the trick… we have to see the grand design. And that’s where we have to listen to our Soul. Our deep, resonant, unduplicatable, self that KNOWS what it/you want. Each of us has to get together with that self and work it out –GET THE BIG PICTURE! That’s what you want! The whole thing – the sweeping majesty and mystery of what you truly desire. You’ve got to surrender to it. There can be no deals made here. We’re playing for keeps. We’re playing for truth, wholeness, profound happiness, and complete embodiment.
Uranus entered Aries on March 12, 2011. That same day Japan suffered the Fukushima earthquake, tsunami and nuclear power plant destruction. Uranus’s movement into Taurus will not be nearly as dramatic right off the bat. Taurus has none of the spark and explosiveness that Aries has. The Earth signs move more slowly and thoroughly. Make no mistake, however, Uranus in Taurus will leave his mark. He wants to know what has value, what can be done on the physical plane to innovate and preserve. He will show us what’s worth keeping and what is not. Let’s face it. Who we are now is completely different to who we were when Uranus entered Aries. Things that worked then, for the most part, are not really working well now. They’ve got to change. And as I like to point out – you can’t have Change without Change – can’t be done.
Surrender to the center of your soul and being now. Start now and take your time. It will be a process that only you can design for you. At the new moon, anything is possible. We begin again. Mercury Rx at the end of Pisces is the only retrograde planet now, but more will follow in the months ahead. He gives you permission to let go of whatever is not working. No pressure – just be honest with yourself. Chiron moving into Aries is ready to mobilize a serious campaign for your personal expansion, growth, healing, and self-love.
March will be a difficult month emotionally. We have a lot of sorting and soul searching to do. We’re all having difficulty claiming ourselves at deep soul levels. There’s so much distraction and emotional pollution in the ethers – it’s difficult to breath. It’s like being behind a really noxious bus. But regardless – spirit and soul show us what we are here for. You won’t be drafted or conscripted into any movement or cult or political party. But it’s up to you to choose. Your soul needs you now – no matter how odd or potentially uncomfortable that might feel – pay attention to it! The Pisces New Moon doesn’t judge. She’s seen it all, accepts it all, and surrenders it all to the all-knowing universe. You might want to try that strategy.
The spring equinox is coming right up at the Full Moon this month – it’s the true astrological New Year. Now is the time to set intentions and do the work.
