Libra New Moon – September 28, 2019

Libra New Moon – September 28, 2019

Today’s New Moon is exact at 05 degrees, 20 minutes Libra at 11:26 am PDT and at 6:26 pm GMT It’s a new season. Last week we entered Libra at the Autumnal Equinox. The daylight hours are shorter now. Darkness has the upper hand in the northern hemisphere. The turning of the season requires us to reassess our priorities and to open the door to reveal the state of our relationships, interactions, and connections. Heading into the darkness and colder months we instinctively turn to our tribe. We make commitments and agreements that will benefit our community. We connect with our neighbors and friends to work together in harmony. We know that we will need each other to make it through the fall and winter months.

Balance and realignment are natural and necessary. Suddenly, it’s taken on a new urgency and dimension. It’s more important now than ever. So much is in disarray. So much more is uncertain. So much is at stake. We are challenged to work with the radically new energies that are being presented to us. We are catching glimpses of a future that’s wildly different to our usual ways of being. This preview will continue to reveal important information through the Fall and into 2020. We will need to untether ourselves from old ways of thinking; and to exchange old ideas, habits, requirements, and responses for new concepts, designs, and templates and philosophies.

There’s a lot of change coming down the pike. We all feel it. We all know it. Whether we chose to acknowledge it or not – well, that’s a personal thing.( But really – don’t wait too long to acknowledge the truth of change). Here’s a bit of advice: let the future come to you. Don’t force it. Allow the opening. Allow the unfamiliar and untried to enter your aura and your physical space. Entertain the unknown. This too is another form of relationship. We are being directed to expand our definitions of relationship. And to clear our hearts of resentment, anger, torment, and residual suffering. If your being is clogged with past residue, junk and gunk, there won’t be any space for the future to land. We need to clear a space for what’s coming.

Mercury and Venus are conjunct at this New Moon, giving us the opportunity to communicate our feelings, desires, and thoughts. Venus in her home sign of Libra makes an exact sextile to Jupiter in his home sign of Sagittarius creating an atmosphere of excitement, expansion, new experience, growth and beauty. So many planets are in their signs of rulership now: Venus in Libra, Saturn in Capricorn, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and Neptune in Pisces. These energies are pure. And the aspects they’re making are potent because of that purity.

But one by one, each planet that passes through Libra must square Pluto and the South Node in Capricorn before they exit the sign and move ahead into Scorpio. These squares are literally the building blocks of our new reality. It’s not clear what that new situation will be – but don’t get all crazy and impatient. (I constantly say this to myself.) Let the future come to you. But keep your eyes peeled – you don’t want to be looking the other way when it strolls by.

Pluto is ready to station direct on October 2nd. His long and almost imperceptible retrograde which started on April 24 has been a rather perverse experiment in holding on – traveling with the South Node and Saturn. He is effectively refusing to budge from a stance that basically states: “We’re not making any changes here – We’re waiting for 2020. So good luck with whatever you’ve got cooking over there…” True – Pluto moves slowly but over the next few weeks he will be EXTRA slow. With Saturn, Pluto and the South Node travelling together there will be control issues. This line-up wants to hold on, stand pat, and make no changes whatsoever unless it becomes absolutely critical – and even then – they might have second thoughts. Do not be deterred by their stubbornness. Just be acutely aware.

The tension is mounting as we move toward the Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto conjunction that’s coming. It feels restrictive even now – and it’s early still. It feels as though we might all break apart under the pressure and uncertainty – shattering into tiny pieces…
And we might. But we might not. Either way … we have to turn and face the changes – all of us.

“Ch-ch Changes – Turn and face the strange- Ch ch- Changes – Don’t tell them to grow up and out of it – Ch-ch Changes – Turn and face the strange – Changes – Where’s your shame? You’ve left us up to our necks in it – Time may change me – But I can’t trace time.” – David Bowie
Let the New Moon work her magic on you. Let her change you as we emerge from darkness into the light. Turn and face the change. We are more resilient than we know.
