Capricorn Full Moon – July 8 – 9, 2017

Capricorn Full Moon – July 8-9, 2017

Ok.  I’m late.  Have I ever been late before (except for the time I forgot to pay my renewal fee for my website)?  I think the answer is no, I have not been late.  But I’m a whole day late and I apologize, because I really don’t like to be late.  It’s been a bit intense lately.  I don’t suppose I need to tell you that – but there you have it.  The Full Moon formed at 17 degrees, 09 minutes Capricorn at 9:07 pm PDT on July 8 and at 5:07 GMT on July 9, 2017.  The Moon was incredibly beautiful last night.  Crisp, warm silver in color, and elegant in the summer night sky.  Trees and flowering plants looked positively enchanted in that light.  It was a beautiful evening.

And there was quite a bit of, well, I don’t want to say tension, but I will say – apprehension, uncertainty, and tautness in the air, due no doubt to the Cardinal cross formed by the Moon conjunct Pluto in Capricorn in opposition to the Sun conjunct Mars in Cancer and the squares to both these pairs by Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries (wide by degree but still happening).  We are all familiar with this energy from the 7 iterations of the cardinal cross that formed, loosened, and then reformed over the course of a five year period earlier in this decade.  Those were gnarly times.  We learned a lot, processed a ton of personal stuff, and grew enormously as a result.   Cardinal signs are the initiators of the zodiac.  Last night’s Moon formed another very powerful Cardinal Cross.  This is another initiation.  This is a big upgrade.  We are moving toward a deconstruction and reconstruction of our current world, and the possible introduction and integration of other heretofore unknown worlds into our new creation –    beginning now.

The Cardinal Cross creates four squares.  Squares require adjustment.  Cardinality requires action.  Uranus in Aries refers to our sense of self and individuality.  Mars in Cancer represents our relationship to home and family, Jupiter in Libra references our personal and social relationships, and Pluto in Capricorn highlights our common experience as a working and functioning society.  We have been to this event before.  We know the drill and we know what is at stake.   Things are going to change.  And it’s going to begin moving pretty fast around the end of July.

The big player here is Pluto.  He’s been in Capricorn since 2008 and he’s going to be there in a very solid way until 2023.  He’s right at the midpoint of his journey and he’s making a decisive move.  Last night he was conjunct the Moon and opposite the Sun and Mars.  Pluto is concerned with transformation and the cycle of birth, death and rebirth.  He wants nothing less than a complete transformation of what is no longer working at a collective level.  That sounds big and it is – And we are going to have to enlarge our concept of “the collective” in the near future.  We will be revising and re-forming – quite literally.  Pluto knows that everything worth having has to be brought to the surface.  That might mean mining the earth for gold, diamonds, oil, and water and it might indicate a deep dive into our personal unconscious and the vast collective unconscious for cognizance, connection, and collaboration – to bring new forms that serve the collective into being and into the light.  His conjunction with the Moon is a huge opportunity to clarify how you FEEL about all this.  It’s important to have a clear sense of your emotional body.   Mars brings energy, courage and willingness to physically move what needs moving in order to realize this transformation.  Uranus and Jupiter help to calibrate the process.  It’s a tall order and it’s up to each of us to help fill that order.  After all – it’s why we’re here now.

By the end of July there will be a lot of planets joining the North Node in Leo.  Needless to say, this means that it’s gonna get hot – in more ways than one.  It’s going to be a hot summer.  And we’ll have a massive total solar eclipse in August – in Leo!  Fire!!!  Are you starting to get the picture?  Here we go.  You know you came here for this.  You know your piece.  You know what you’re here to do.  Yep – I know you do….
